In Vietnamese culture, this flower symbolizes the beauty of the noble, pure, rustic and still rising straight, bright even though living in the mud swamp.

From that idea, when bringing the image of a lotus flower on the background of a black T-shirt, SoN used sophisticated hand silk ribbon embroidery to show the most fully the blooming lotus flower rising as straight as true to the meaning that has been attached to the Vietnamese people themselves.
